I loved th...Oh, T-Bone, I loved this post so much! I loved the ship-turning analogy. And this really is some big ship here, LOL !!! I also loved this "...cause when i tell people how great it all is, they assume that means perfect and happy and sometimes they think that's what my life is..." This is such an important distinction. So many people think that if you're happy with your life, that it's effortless; it's totally not, in my experience. It's a commitment. And I wouldn't have it any other way. Lots of people have tried to wear the "happy" all the time, and they just end up needing more and more pharmaceuticals ... or else they go just so long and then...BAM, they explode and fall to pieces. Not me, baby, I want the full spectrum. And you can bet I share the hard times, but I share them from the stance of, "I know I'm gonna learn something from this, and have a good story..." Because there always is a good thing about learning things, that we can share with each other. OK, I'm rambling. Whose blog is this, anyway? :]Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08428824102203212578noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7731762173286561871.post-42743735479008018672011-12-28T16:22:12.277-05:002011-12-28T16:22:12.277-05:00First of all, I'm glad you've taken the ti...First of all, I'm glad you've taken the time for yourself the last couple of days. You are such a giving soul and I worry sometimes that "we" heap a bit too much on that generous plate of yours.

Second, that Bob is a wise man. A boat is a great analogy for life. I just wish mine was a bit smaller (a rowboat maybe?) so I could get this darn thing back on course.

Now go goof some more!!!!Dan McGaffinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02126426711643865847noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7731762173286561871.post-90085045156677436312011-12-28T15:39:31.392-05:002011-12-28T15:39:31.392-05:00gosh, thanks you guys for the comments! and for th...gosh, thanks you guys for the comments! and for the encouragement you so freely give!!!

you make me smile...terri st. cloudhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15051778033153655065noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7731762173286561871.post-72753847169469666922011-12-28T15:36:56.668-05:002011-12-28T15:36:56.668-05:00I wanted to tell you how much I appreciated your j...I wanted to tell you how much I appreciated your journey and your sharing it with us. I think all of us relate to your offerings at some point. You speak to our soul and our own life experiences. You help us to know that we are not alone, that our pain, joy, disappointment, elation are part of this thing called living. You touch so many more lives than you can conceive, and I thank you and bless you for your sharing and caring. Blessings. I agree with Cath that you can have no idea how far your words reach and how many your words touch and comfort. I'm glad to be acquainted with you and your work. You know, I often just go to the site and read your gifts to us. I am uplifted and feel so much connection when I do...I know I'm not alone...ever. Blessings. (you know who I mean) And, reading this has really helped me to see that my "ship" is turning around. Hasn't made it all the way yet, but it's moving!! Thank you so much for sharing this. You have no idea how much your words help and encourage. You'll probably never know how far-reaching those words are. Can I say it one more time?
