verbs vs nouns

an after thought that has me intrigued...

there's a line in that last post about the little
things meaning nothing at all and everything all at
once....

it's got me thinking.

what's so important about little things is the ACT of
doing them.

good or bad.

because it's the verb part that matters.
the act of doing it.
that creates your life.

it's not the bowling trophy you won that sits on
your shelf, but the act of overcoming your fear
of bowling shoes and putting them on anyway and
then conquering that fear and doin' something that
empowered your spirit.

it's not the really cool gift someone gave me that's
the treasure, but the act of giving that they did
AND the act of openly receiving that i did. that
part matters too.

it's the verb part of the little things that's everything
and the noun part that's nothing.

i think, anyway.
that's the thought that ran thru my head just now....

maybe i ought to just go to sleep!
