i was roarin' home tonite in josh's camaro.
that car is so fun to drive!
and i was thinking how fun this whole house thing
is turning out to be.
it's too fun to be too sad.
we sat in josh's kitchen tonite havin' a bite
to eat and i just thought 'this is the house that
love built.'
the guys have been workin' so hard. my guy's son
has been involved in such a good way. he's been
helpin too. that feels so good to have him such
a part of the group.
he and i were in the kitchen at one point and
i grinned at him and said 'doesn't it just feel
like everyone's house here??'
and he lit up. he loves it. i can feel it.
there's something really healing here for him.
he had a drum lesson he had to head out to, so
i packed him some food to take on his way. there
was a lot of joking between him and me and his dad
and i handed him food. i gave him some in a bowl.
he looked at me all worried, 'i don't know terri,
this looks too easy to break.'
i laughed. gave him something less breakable, told
him it was the new 'take out on a run' dish! that we
had just started a new tradition and that whenever
anyone had to leave quick and take food with them
they could use this dish!
my guy rolled his eyes.
here she goes again.
yet another tradition.
'you'd better take it' he whispered to his son.
his son grinned.
and off they went.
i sat with a cup of tea and watched the guys at work.
i got filled with a feeling that this house was so
much more than a house.....
that there was a lot of love that was gonna happen here.
roarin' home in josh's cool car, i felt so grateful
for it all.....
josh's first home sure feels like a winner.
