the telephone guys are at it again.
they're putting up new poles in my neighborhood.
they were in front of our house yesterday.
i looked out the window and they had parked
one of their trucks in our yard!
my mouth fell open!
that's a little brazen, isn't it?!
zakk pointed out that that spot they picked
DID look like a miniature driveway of sorts and
we've parked things there.
oh yeah.
okay.
you're right.
and where else do they put that thing?
okay.
later, i walked thru and they had parked
another truck in our driveway!
and i just got the biggest smile on my face.
honest to pete, i was so tickled they made
themselves at home.
i started figurin' out if i had any drinks or
snacks to offer them. no. didn't. and couldn't
get to the store as they were blockin me in...
but i was thinking hard.
they came to the door twice to work out when to
shut the power off with me. i thought that was
so thoughtful. i gave the guy the big friendly
smile and thanked him.
i heard them clunkin' away as i walked thru just
now and i smiled. it's kinda nice havin' them
around....
i thought about how easily i coulda got cranky
yesterday about the whole thing.....and that woulda
been such a mistake.
attitude is everything, isn't it?
gotta keep that in mind today..........
