mary's brainstorm!

i just bopped over to mary's blog...
and i tell ya, that woman has a great idea
goin on over there!

turns out international woman's day is
happening on march 8th.

mary suggested that we all think of a special
woman who's made a difference in our lives
and on that day, march 8th, we stop on by
mary's blog and write a little something about
the woman we picked. we can leave it in her
comments section.

i think that's such a cool idea.
my only problem is i really don't know how
i'd pick just one! but i'm gonna give this a
ton of thought!!!

anyway........she said she'd remind us again
before that date, but head on over and check
out her post about it. and start thinking!
this would be such a lovely thing to do......
flood her blog with incredible women!

Thanks Terri, for catching the spirit. I was hoping you would!

Since I made the rules I think I can change them or tweek them a bit! DOn't limit yourself to one woman, I think it would be great to acknowledge all the special women we know.

For instance and for some strange reason, Lorretta Lynn keeps popping into my mind. I would say that Miss Lynn would be up there with someone like Mother Theresa. But in her own way, Lorretta took a stand, listened to her inner voice and sang it out loud and clear. You've got to admire that kind of courage. And she married a man named Dooley. I think that took some guts don't you?

oops.

I meant to say Loretta Lynn would NOT be up there with someone like Mother Theresa!
