so i woke up earlier than i wanted to.
decided to read just a few minutes.

and yep! i found a tidbit to share!!!!

at midlife the psyche will no longer tolerate
our attempt to achieve wholeness thru our
relationship with another. we can no longer allow
our independence, strength, compassion, creativity,
humor, or any other human characteristic that is
rightfully ours to be expressed by anyone else.
at midlife psychological energy is directed toward
taking full responsibility for our own development.
we will have to look at it and be responsible for
our own movement toward self realization and
individuation.'

..........'each partner must take full responsibility
for the development of him or herself. each of us
must be the pilot on the path of our own individuation,
for no relationship with another person can be any
better than our relationship with ourselves.
at midlife, we can no longer afford the free ride.
we can no longer accept that any aspect of ourselves
will be lived out by someone else.'
